- Tell about yourself ? Tell us a bit about your background and about yourself at the moment ?
My name is Gina Vasquez, and I am a nineteen year old photographer from New York City. I am currently in my first year of college at the Fashion Institute of Technology!
- What is your source of inspiration ? Who/what inspires you ?
I am inspired by so many things, especially music and poetry!
- What is a motto of your life ?
My life's motto is to treat others the way I would want to be treated.

My name is Gina Vasquez, and I am a nineteen year old photographer from New York City. I am currently in my first year of college at the Fashion Institute of Technology!
- What is your source of inspiration ? Who/what inspires you ?
I am inspired by so many things, especially music and poetry!
- What is a motto of your life ?
My life's motto is to treat others the way I would want to be treated.
- What is the most insane act in your life ?
All of the crazy adventures and friendships that have happened because of this amazing photography journey.
-Describe yourself in three words.
Determined, perfectionistic, creative.
- If you could go back in time and teach yourself something , what would it be?
To trust in God for all things.
- What camera do you use ? And what do you think about expensive cameras?
I use a Nikon D600! I believe that you don't necessarily need an expensive camera to make a great image - that depends on the photographer. However, as a photographer, having a good quality camera is really helpful!
- It is often said that "art is an effort to create, beside the real world, a more human world" do you agree ?
I do agree. Through art we can interpret and portray the world as we personally experience it, making others understand and feel emotions we want to get across. This is definitely one of my favorite aspects of creating art.
- All your photos have especially beautiful compositions, it's all planned or improvised ?
Thank you so much! It is a mix of both. I love planning photos out, but a lot of times I'll come across a location and improvise!
- Do you have any others hobbies except photography ?
Yes! I love playing the piano and reading.
- What can you advise to beginners photographers ?
I would say to never give up, and never stop trying. Experiment as much as possible and try to create whatever your mind comes up with!
- Do you work as a professional photographer or is photography mainly a hobby for you?
I am currently working in the photography field, and my goal is to become a professional photographer!
